Northern Oasis Lacy

Northern Oasis Lacy is a 3 year old black jennet who has gone to a wonderful home in the foothills west of Calgary, Alberta.  Lacy was originally purchased to be the companion to TJ, an aging horse.  She has now become part of the family and loves to take young children for rides on her back.  Also Lacy allows Kaiya, the Great Dane, to give her kisses and be her buddy.  You often see the three of them together out in the field.  Lacy is sired by Little Motown and our of an Eagles Nest Exotic jennet.  She has a wonderful disposition and is a very thoughtful jennet.  Next summer the plans are to start driving Lacy.  Thank you, Gabriella Sladkova, for selecting Lacy to be your special donkey.

Cooke Livestock and HiWest Farms are pleased to announce that Old West Limited Edition has been sold to Julie Branden of Double V Farm , Hebron, Illinois.  Limited Edition had a great show year!  At the Calgary Stampede World Show he placed 3rd in the 2 year old Jack Class.  At the Westerner Show in Red Deer he won the following:  1st place - 2 year old Jacks;  Reserve Champion Jack of the Westerner Show;  Maturity/Futurity Grand Champion Jack (includes $1000.00 prize money).  Congratulations, Julie on picking a true winner!!
Old West Limited Edition and new owner, Frank O'Sullivan, Ireland.   Limited Edition measures 31 1/4" at 27 months of age.   It has been an exciting summer!  In April, Julie Branden of Double V Farm in Hebron Illinois purchased Old West Limited Edition.  His show record, in his first year in the ring, showed that Julie can pick a winner!  When Frank O'Sullivan came over from Ireland, in August, to view the jennets that he had purchased at the 2004 Rocky Mountain Sale, he was also looking for a breeding jack.  He liked Limited Edition for his conformation and also the fact that he would be an outcross for the jennets that he had purchased.  After some serious negotiations Julie agreed that Limited Edition should go to Ireland with Frank O'Sullivan.  Julie then purchased Circle C Hurricane for her breeding program.  It was a win situation for everyone!!  Congratulations Julie and Frank.  We wish you continued success with your new herd sires.
